I had an amazing birthday. On the 12th I got 18 roses from my parents, along with many other gifts they gave me. My mom made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and picked me up from school for lunch. My friends at school made me feel sooo special by giving me flowers and cards all day long. At the our meet, the team sang me "happy birthday" while we were stretching. Funny thing is is that our coach didn't even realize I had a birthday until yesterday at practice when she asked me and one of my friends informed her that the team had sung it last week. We picked up Rubio's for dinner. Only part that dampened the evening was the fact that I had to study for a pre-cal final.
My friends are amazing. I love and appreciate them.
On Sunday, I had a party. It was so much fun. It was an open-house kind of thingie...lots of food, cake, presents, dancing, a fire, roasting marshmellows, and inside jokes.

see relatedSo, other than stressing over college applications, life is good. We just finished up Spirit Week at school, which was a lot of fun. We also had a Homecoming Dance at school and I went with one of my friends. I was really excited because it was my first "date" (if you will) and we got pictures taken. So I'm really stoked to see how those turn out. Here are some pictures to give you a taste of what Spirit Week and the dance looked like.

I also went with my girls group from church to the Revolve Tour. It was an amazing experience and I had a blast. I was able to get to know my leaders better as well as deepen relationships with the girls in the group. Listening to the speakers and the singers give words of advice and to hear them tell their stories really gave me words of wisdom for life and encouraged me in my Christian faith.
